After leaving Aparados da Serra National Park during the late afternoon on October 9, 2011, we birded a stretch of forest about 8-9 kilometers north of Cambará do Sul (a municipality in the state Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). The Azure Jay (Cyanocorax caeruleus) was perched in a tree near the roadway. Temperatures were in 80's on this partly cloudy, humid day.
