After leaving Bariqui Park in Curitiba on the afternoon of October 6, 2011, we had a late afternoon lunch. Post-lunch birding consisted of a trip to the Zoo-botanical Park in Curitiba to look for specialities (wild, not domesticated). This is a photo of a female Brazilian Teal, Amazonetta brasiliensis. The female has a dark bill, red legs, and spots on its sides. Temperatures were in the 80's on this sunny afternoon.
