After leaving Guardião das Aguas (Boy Scout Camp Marsh) on the morning of October 6, 2011, we headed to Bariqui Park in Curitiba. This is a photo of a Canebrake Groundcreeper (Clibanornis dendrocolaptoides) that we saw while hiking one of the paved trails in the park. This bird has rufous-colored upperparts, a white throat, and scalloping between the cheeks and chin. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this sunny morning.
