After leaving Guardião das Aguas (Boy Scout Camp Marsh) on the morning of October 6, 2011, we headed to Bariqui Park in Curitiba. This is a photo of a Black-eared-tufted Marmoset, (Callithrix penicillata), that we saw while hiking one of the paved trails in the park. It is characterized by black tufts of hair around the ears. This Marmoset typically has some white hairs on its face. The tail is ringed with black and white and is not prehensile, but is used for balance. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this sunny morning.
