During the morning of October 10, 2011, we birded the escarpment at Colinhas do São Francisco near our hotel, the Hotel Veraneio Hampel, in São Francisco de Paula. This is a photograph of a Rattle Snake Master (Eryngium yuccifolium) plant. Temperatures were in the 70's on this foggy morning with intermittent rain.
