During the morning of October 10, 2011, we birded the escarpment at Colinhas do São Francisco near our hotel, the Hotel Veraneio Hampel, in São Francisco de Paula. This is a photo of a Maroon-bellied Parakeet (Pyrrhura frontalis). Temperatures were in the 70's on this partly cloudy morning with intermittent rain and fog.
