On October 9, 2011, we drove the road to Tainhas, RS020, to do some morning birding. Our ultimate goal for this day was Itaimbezinho Canyon in Aparados da Serra National Park near Cambará do Sul (a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). We stopped at this location to look for Hellmayr's Pipit. I took this photograph to show some of the local vegetation and topography in the area near Cambará do Sul. Temperatures were in the 70's on this partly cloudy morning.
