We drove the road to Tainhas, RS020, with major stops at kilometer 98.5 (Ponte Rio do Pinto) and kilometer 107 to do some morning birding on October 9, 2011. Our ultimate goal for this day was Itaimbezinho Canyon in Aparados da Serra National Park near Cambará do Sul (a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). This is a photo of a female Shiny Cowbird that Brad photographed. Temperatures were in the 60's on this cool, partly cloudy morning.
