We saw this White-necked Thrush (Turdus albicollis) while birding on the grounds of our hotel, the Hotel Veraneio Hampel, in São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This bird has brownish upperparts, grayish underparts, rufous-colored flanks, a white throat with dark streaks, and a white crescent below its throat. Temperatures on this October 10, 2011, afternoon were in the 80's with partly cloudy skies.
