Brad photographed this Black-capped Foliage-Gleaner, Philydor atricapillus, while we were birding the lowlands near Pereque in Brazil on October 18, 2011. A dark line through the eye is surrounded by a white line which loops above and below it. The head is black, upperparts are a dark brownish-cinnamon, and underparts are a paler cinnamon color. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this partly cloudy morning.
