After lunch and a siesta on October 13, 2011, we drove to Sede de Pesquizas and from there walked along the wide-track road to the Plovercrest Lek. Along the way, we photographed this Blue-bellied Parrot (Triclaria malachitacea) which is all green except for its bluish belly. The bill is pale. Temperatures on this cloudy day with intermittent rain were in the 60's. Intervales State Park is located on a 3,300 foot high escarpment in the State of São Paulo in the Paranapiacaba mountain range/upper Ribeira Valley, southwest of the city of São Paulo and north of Curitiba.
