Brad photographed this Buff-throated Purpletuft, Iodopleura pipra, perched at the top of a tree while we were birding the lowlands near Pereque in Brazil on October 18, 2011. This Brazilian endemic has a cinnamon-buff colored throat and undertail area. This grayish-colored bird has barred underparts. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this partly cloudy morning.
