October 17, 2011, started out to be another wet, rainy day. While most of the group trudged or should I say slogged after our guide along the Folha Seca Road near Ubatuba, Brad and I decided to stay on the bus until the rain stopped. After an hour or so of napping on the bus, the rain slowed down, and we did some birding and butterflying. We saw this brown, orange and white butterfly (Vanessa) in an open field near the road. Temperatures were in the 70's on this foggy morning with intermittent heavy rain.
