While waiting for the Atlantic Royal Flycatcher (Onychorhynchus coronatus swainsonii) to return to its nest on the afternoon of October 20, 2011, Brad photographed this Euler's Flycatcher (Lathrotriccus euleri). Underparts of this bird consist of a brownish breast and a pale yellow belly. The lower mandible of an otherwise black bill is yellowish. We enjoyed walking and birding the trail that led down from the Hotel Simon in Itatiaia National Park to a waterfall near where the Atlantic Royal Flycatcher had constructed its woven nest. Temperatures were in the 60's on this partly cloudy day.
