October 17, 2011, started out to be another wet, rainy day. While most of the group trudged or should I say slogged after our guide along the Folha Seca Road near Ubatuba, Brad and I decided to stay on the bus until the rain stopped. After an hour or so of napping on the bus, the rain slowed down, and we did some birding and butterflying. Various types of insects, such as this greenish-black beetle with lime-colored lines and red legs, were also active. Temperatures were in the 70's on this foggy morning with intermittent heavy rain.
