This is a photo of a Golden Lion Tamarin, Leontopithecus rosalia, showing its reddish-orange colored pelage, its bare, grayish-brown face, claw-like nails, and long tail. Sitting in the sunlight and watching us below with rapt attention, this individual was a spectacular example of the species. Temperatures were in the 70's on this clear day with blue skies.
