After leaving Guapi Assu Bird Lodge located on the REGUA (Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu) grounds the morning of October 24, 2011, we headed out to look for the Golden Lion Tamarins in a privately owned forest. Golden Lion Tamarins form social groups. The group that we saw had eleven members consisting of one breeding adult male and female with subadults, juveniles and several infants. Temperatures were in the 70's on this clear day with blue skies.
