Lunch on October 21, 2011, was a buffet-style meal at the Hotel do Ype in Itatiaia National Park prior to our leaving for Regua. Before and after lunch we did some birding from the back balcony of the restaurant where we photographed this Fawn-breasted Tanager, Pipraeidea melanonota. Underparts are buff-colored. Upperparts are blue with dark wings and a black facial mask. Temperatures were in the 60's on this partly cloudy day.
