During the morning of October 12, 2011, we birded Intervales State Park in Brazil. The park is located on a 3,300 foot high escarpment in the State of São Paulo in the Paranapiacaba mountain range/upper Ribeira Valley, southwest of the city of São Paulo and north of Curitiba. Temperatures on this cloudy morning with intermittent rain were in the 60's. The pale pink drooping flowers on this bromeliad were beautiful...even in the rain.
