Brad and I spent the late afternoon of October 22, 2011, sitting on the covered porch area of the Guapi Assu Bird Lodge watching different species of birds coming into the feeders. The Glittering-throated Emerald, Amazilia fimbriata, has a pink lower mandible and a black upper mandible. The male's throat is a glittering green color while the female's has white scaling on the throat. Temperatures were in low 70's.
