The maximum elevation that we birded along the Agulhas Negras Road in Itatiaia National Park on October 19, 2011, was 2150 meters. We had started back down when Brad photographed a second Greenish Tyrannulet (Phyllomyias virescens). Upperparts including crown and ear coverts are olive colored. The bill is short and stubby with a pale base to the lower mandible. Underparts shown in this side view are a yellowish-olive color. Temperatures were in the 60's on this partly cloudy afternoon. Itatiaia National Park is situated on the shoulders of the Serra Mantiqueria, a range of mountains that straddles the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
