Intervales State Park is located on a 3,300 foot high escarpment in the State of São Paulo in the Paranapiacaba mountain range/upper Ribeira Valley, southwest of the city of São Paulo and north of Curitiba. This photograph was taken early in the morning on October 13, 2011, and shows the lush vegetation of the area. Birds are abundant in the park especially Atlantic Forest endemics. Unfortunately, rainy weather limited our birding.
