Brad photographed this Laughing Falcon, Herpetotheres cachinnans, while we were birding the lowlands near Pereque in Brazil on October 18, 2011. This large-sized falcon has a large whitish-colored head with a black mask that encircles its head. Underparts are whitish, and upperparts are gray-black. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this partly cloudy morning.
