Brad photographed this Masked Water-Tyrant, Fluvicola nengeta, outside our hotel room at the Hotel do Bosque near Pereque in Brazil's Mambucaba Valley on October 18, 2011. Head and underparts are white. A black stripe goes through the eye (the mask). Wings are a brownish-black color, and the mantle is gray. The white tail has a black swath across it. Temperatures were in the 80's on this partly cloudy afternoon.
