We were birding the Agulhas Negras Road in Itatiaia National Park on October 19, 2011, when Brad photographed this Olivaceous Elaenia, Elaenia mesoleuca, perched in a nearby tree. Underparts are grayish tinged with olive. This bird has two wing-bars and a white eye-ring. It lacks a white crown stripe. Temperatures were in the 50's on this partly cloudy morning. Itatiaia National Park is situated on the shoulders of the Serra Mantiqueria, a range of mountains that straddles the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
