We took this photograph of a Red-eyed Vireo (Vireo olivaceus), Chivi race, while birding at Intervales State Park in Brazil on October 12, 2011. Upperparts are olive-green with yellowish flanks, and underparts are white with a yellow vent. A white supercilium is highlighted by a blackish line above it bordering the gray crown. The iris is chestnut colored in this resident/local migrant. Temperatures on this cloudy morning with intermittent rain were in the 60's.
