Brad photographed this closeup shot of a juvenile Rufous-capped Motmot, Baryphthengus ruficapillus, while we were owling (9:00-12:00 PM) on the REGUA (Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu) grounds on October 23, 2011. Upperparts are green, and the head and breast band are rufous-colored. The tail lacks racquets. Temperatures were in the 60's.
