We photographed this Rufous-tailed Attila (Attila phoenicurus) while birding the Mirante das Antas Trail at Intervales State Park on October 12, 2011. Underparts are a cinnamon rufous color. Upperparts are more rufous as is the tail. The gray hood is sharply demarcated. Temperatures on this cloudy afternoon with intermittent rain were in the 60's.
