Brad took this closup shot of a Saffron Toucanet, Pteroglossus bailloni, at a feeder on the back deck of the Hotel do Ype's restaurant on October 20, 2011. The head and breast are a golden color, the mantle is olive, and the rump is red. The eye is yellow and is surrounded by a bare patch of red facial skin. The base of the bill is red with areas of green or grayish-blue surrounding it. The tip of the bill is a yellowish-gray horn color. Temperatures were in the 60's on this partly cloudy morning.
