We took this photograph of a Streaked Xenops (Xenops rutilans) while birding at Intervales State Park in Brazil on October 12, 2011. Mantle and underparts are streaked. Upperparts and tail are rufous. The bill is upturned. A dark line through the eye is highlighted by a white supercilium and malar stripe. Temperatures on this cloudy morning with intermittent rain were in the 60's.
