Brad and I spent the late afternoon of October 22, 2011, sitting on the covered porch area of the Guapi Assu Bird Lodge watching different species of birds coming in to feed. This Swallow-tailed Hummingbird, Eupetomena macroura, has a deep bluish-colored head, neck, throat, rump, and tail. Wings are blackish and the rest of the body is a greenish color. The bird's tail is deeply forked. Temperatures were in low 70's.
