We took this photograph of a White-crested Tyrannulet (Serpophaga subcristata) while birding at Intervales State Park in Brazil on October 12, 2011. Upperparts are gray with two buffy colored wing-bars on darker gray colored wings. The white throat blends into a gray breast and a pale yellow belly. The crown is dark with a white crest (barely visible here). Temperatures on this cloudy morning with intermittent rain were in the 60's.
