We birded the wetlands loop at REGUA (Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu) during the early morning of October 23, 2011. This photograph of a male White-headed Marsh Tyrant, Arundinicola leucocephala, provides the GISS (general impression of size and shape) of this species...an all-black bird with a white head. We did have adequate scope views. Temperatures were in the low 70's on this partly cloudy morning.
