We birded the wetlands loop at REGUA (Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu) during the early morning of October 23, 2011. The Yellow-chinned Spinetail, Certhiaxis cinnamomeus, is a rufous-chestnut color above with whitish underparts and eyebrow. The yellow chin spot is noticeable on this bird. Temperatures were in the low 70's on this partly cloudy morning.
