We spent the remainder of the afternoon and early evening of October 20, 2011, birding pasture lands below Itatiaia National Park. Brad photographed this Yellow-rumped Marshbird (Pseudoleistes guirahuro) as it flew over us. The overall dark brown coloration with yellow rump, belly, and shoulders along with feather pattern is shown in this photo. Temperatures were in the 60's on this partly cloudy day.
