This Black-tailed Tityra was another species that we spotted on the grounds of the Hotel das Cataratas in Iguaçu Falls during the late afternoon of September 28, 2011. Temperatures were falling from an early afternoon high in the 90's to more comfortable levels in the upper 70's. The male, shown here, has a conspicuous red eye-ring and bill-base.
