We spotted these Great Dusky Swifts roosting on an exposed rock face in one of the waterfalls with torrent of water flowing past them. We were standing on the open grided metal viewing platform in the Devil's Throat area (Brazilian side of Iguaçu Falls). These brownish colored swifts, with lighter colored, silvery heads were clinging to rock surfaces, flying above us in the mist, or darting in and out of nests located behind the waterfalls. The swifts put on quite a show for us. Temperatures were on their way up towards the 90's on this sunny, clear morning.
