This is a photo of a Sao Paulo Tyrannulet that we saw while birding along the Poço Preto (Black Well) Road in Iguaçu Falls National Park during the morning of September 30, 2011. Temperatures on this humid morning were in the upper 90's. The Sao Paulo is a small, green-and-yellow tyrannulet that is pale greenish-olive above with lemon-yellow underparts. Its lemon-yellow face has a dusky loral spot. A narrow, pale yellowish supercilium wraps around rear of a prominent, dark auricular crescent.
