Early in the morning on September 30, 2011, we went owling along the Poço Preto (Black Well) Road in Iguaçu Falls National Park, where we saw this Tropical Screech-Owl. The off-road 5.4 miles that constitute the Poço Preto trail can be completed on foot or by bicycle. Our group used an open park vehicle for various portions of the trip. Beware of bike racks in unexpected places. Temperatures on this humid morning were already in the upper 70's.
