We left Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands, from Mount Pleasant RAF Airport at 4:30 PM on January 6, 2006. and arrived in Punta Arenas, Chile to clear Chilean Customs. We proceeded on to Puerto Montt but did not have to leave the airplane. We finally got to Santiago at about 1:00 AM and checked into the Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Conference Center. The next day, January 7, 2007, we had our birding tour to the Andes. On the 8th we went on a Santiago city tour and did a little birding around the hotel. Tuesday, January 9th, we flew from Santiago to Buenos Aries, Argentina, and on to Houston, arriving on the 10th.
