We birded in the semi-deciduous forest of Najasa (a municipality and city in the Province of Camagüey in Cuba) near La Belén National Park during the late afternoon of April 17, 2012. The endemic Cuban Palm Crow, Corvus minutus, is a black-colored bird with a slight metallic sheen and elongated tufts over the upper mandible. This species is often seen on the ground. The tail is typically flicked upward on landings. Voice and location are keys to IDing the species. Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this partly cloudy day.
