One of our final stops on our Havana city tour on April 13, 2012, was the Granma Memorial near the Museum of the Revolution which is housed in the former Presidential Palace. The Granma is named after the yacht that Castro and his guerrillas used to return to Cuba from exile in Mexico in 1956. The yacht is housed inside a glass enclosure, while some of Castro's other war toys, including the plane shown in this photo, decorate the outside.
