The second day of our Eucadorean birding tour took us to the Tandayapa Valley. This area of undamaged cloud forest and beautiful mountain scenery was approximately a two hour drive from our hotel, the Hotel Quito. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the low to mid-80's. The photograph of this Collared Inca was taken in the yard of Tony and Barbara Nunnery whose residence lies in the Tandayapa Valley. The Nunnery's are interesting people who are devoted to preserving and restoring the land they own.
