On our second day in Eucador we were heading to the Tandayapa Valley in the Andes to bird when we passed by a monument that demarcates the location of the Equator, la Mitad del Mundo. It turned out to be a good thing that we took this photograph from the bus as it passed by the monument since we didn't have time to stop on the return trip. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the low to mid-80's.
