The second day of our Eucadorean birding tour took us to the Tandayapa Valley. This area of undamaged cloud forest and beautiful mountain scenery was approximately a two hour drive from our hotel, the Hotel Quito. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the low to mid-80's. The photograph of this Pale Crescent, Tegosa flavida, (maybe) was taken in the yard of Tony and Barbara Nunnery whose residence lies in the Tandayapa Valley.
