We spent the afternoon of our first day in Quito walking around Quito's Old Town, La Puebla Vieja. It was a partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the mid-60's. This photograph shows one of the settled hillsides of Quito in the area near its Old Town. We were standing on the upper decks of the Centro Cultural Metropolitano when we shot this photograph. While in this building, we visited Jorge Valende's art show, saw antique printing presses, looked in on the library area, and had a delicious snack (soapa de camorones) in the courtyard cafe. I highly recommend a stop here.
