We arrived on the south side of Santa Cruz Island early in the morning to visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Then we took a bus ride into the interior of the island. This photograph of a Cactus Finch was taken in the area of the El Chato Restaurant where our group had an enjoyable lunch. The birding from the restaurant's porch was excellent. Temperatures were in the mid-70's, and the skies were partly cloudy to cloudy.
