On the morning of Tuesday, December 2, 2008, we visited the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island. Near the refreshment kiosk at the station, we saw many finches. The Large Tree Finch was one of the species that we saw. This species is uncommon, and the subspecies, psittacula, inhabits Santa Cruz. It was a warm morning with partly cloudy skies.
