We photographed this Galapagos Mockingbird at Puerto Egas (James Bay) on Santiago Island late in the afternoon on December 1, 2008. It was a partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the high 70's. This endemic species is common, and its range does not overlap with any other species of mockingbird. It nests in trees or cacti.
