We were on a Panga cruise in the vicinity of Punta Vicente Roca on December 3, 2008, when we spotted this Mola Mola. The Mola is a flat, oval shaped fish with a dorsal fin, anal fin, and pectoral fins (on it's sides). The Ocean Sunfish is its common name. The Mola is often seen drifting along with the currents at the surface basking under the sun. It was a sunny morning with temperatures in the lower 70's.
